The longest pedestrian bridge
- In Atyrau is the longest
in the CIS (and the second longest in the world) a pedestrian bridge.
- The construction is beautiful,
but first, now looks messy because of broken lamps, and secondly, the
bridge for a long time at one end rests directly in the construction
pit, and the other goes to the kind of semi-abandoned mall at the monument
to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
- On Sunday, November 12, 2006 inaugurated
the world's longest pedestrian bridge. The new bridge over the Rhine
connected two European cities - German Weil am Rhine (Weil am Rhein) and French Yuneng (Huningue).
- Everyone will be able to walk
or ride a bike on the way to the bridge 248 meters long. Width between
adjacent legs of the bridge is 230 meters and allows cruising river
transport on the Rhine - the most beautiful waterway in Europe.
- The author of the project of the
bridge is the famous Austrian architect Feichtinger. This is not his first job, among other famous works - a pedestrian
bridge in Paris Simone de Beauvoir, also commissioned in 2006
