1 - Business Plan – Colloquy Grog Bar.

CG Bar is a bar for singles that will be registered as a limited company with two shareholders.

Our staff will consist of the manager, a chef who is responsible for the creation of the menu and food preparation, than chef assistant and three waiters.  Also there will be a full time bar tender. 

CG Bar sells eight types of self-made beer (this beer is chosen because its quality is higher and our target segment prefers them), different types of coffee (it is often associated with good conversation) and different tapas.

CG Bar is divided into two sections: a smaller section of tables for general customers, and another larger section for singles for meeting new people. The singles section is composed of 4-top tables. Each table will be marked with a topic of conversation.  Throughout the evening if there is turnover of the table or the conversation is exhausted, the waiter will introduce a new topic. The topics are recent news or sports, others are intellectual and philosophical. Singles sit down at specific tables and discuss the assigned topic. The conversation is used to find out values and perspectives of the other person. 

The target customers are 25 – 45 year old singles who are professionals at any field: last characteristic is intuitive because the main element of CG Bar is thoughtful conversation.

The competitors are bars (some are better than others for meeting people, however, none have the business mission to bring together singles, also they have loud music), coffee shops (they are good for meeting but they don’t have any type of organization to bring singles together), meeting clubs where you will have just 10 minutes to chat ( it’s not enough for good learning another people and you meet too many people).

The first method of advertising will be strategically placed advertisements.  One place is the Perm Weekly and the magazine that details all of the entertainment in Perm has the target group is similar to CG Bar's one. Another source of marketing is relationship with companies that have similar customer demographics (for example sport club). Also customers will be given coupons for their friends to try CG Bar for the first time.  The coupon will be an economic incentive for the newcomer to try CG Bar.

The CG Bar will be set up in the quiet area of Perm, which can be a night stop for target group and good talking. We plan to buy not a new premise for 15 tables and a bar therefore the costs will be quite reasonable. At first we need coffee machine, refrigerator, dishwasher, beer system, sale terminal with cash register, oven and three telephones. And of course tables, chairs and bar counter.

The objectives for the first three years include creation of a local bar whose primary goal is to exceed customer's expectations, increasing of the number of clients by 20% per year and developing a sustainable start-up business and getting cash.
