I live in Yakutsk. It is a town in northern Russia. It has a population of one million people.
Yakutsk is located on the shores of the Lena River. The Lena River is the largest river in Russia. The length of river is 4,400km. Besides, there are the Lena pillars. It is the rocks which stretch along the river. There are many excursions for people who want to see this attraction.

The place where I live is known as the place where the coldest winter. Usual winter cold is 45-50 degrees. But we don’t seat at home in winter. There are winter funs such as the sites for skating, the ice slides, etc.
Our national Day is Ysyakh on the 22’Th of June. It’s a day of New Year celebrations in Yakutia. All people go to the special place. This place is called “Three birches”. It’s an area with ready facilities for ceremonies. On this day we feel our unity. For visitors it’s difficult to understand. We really respect for our traditions and try to follow them around.
