Understanding
Listening. Pupils can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. They can understand the main point of many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or topics or personal or professional interest when the delivery is relatively slow and clear.

Understanding
Listening. Pupils can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. They can understand the main point of many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or topics or personal or professional interest when the delivery is relatively slow and clear.
Reading. Pupils can understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or job-related language. They can understand the description of events, feelings and wishes in personal letters.
Speaking
Spoken interaction. Pupils can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in areas where the language is spoken. They can enter unprepared into conversation on topics that are familiar, of personal interest or pertinent to everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current events).
Spoken production. Pupils can connect phrases in a simple way in order to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, ambitions. They can briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. They can narrate a story or relate the plot of a book or film and describe their reactions.
Writing
Writing. Pupils can write simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They can write personal letters describing experiences and impressions.

3) Introduction and Explanation of the usage of the lexical units :
1. Time - [uncountable] the thing that is measured in minutes, hours, days, years etc using clocks:
Ex. Einstein changed the way we think about space and time.
- [singular] a particular point in time shown on a clock in hours and
minutes:
Ex. What time are you going out tonight? - [countable] an occasion when something happens or someone does something: Ex. That was the only time we disagreed. - [uncountable and countable] the particular minute, hour, day etc when something happens or should happen Ex. She was three months pregnant at the time of Stephen's death. 2. To expect vt - feel sure that somebody or something will come and be waiting Ex. We expected him for dinner, but he did not come. To wait vi - be at a fixed place until somebody comes or something happens
3. Coast –the land along the sea only, regarded especially as a boundary. It is used for the division between sea and land, when we see it at a distance. Ex. I live 10 miles from the coast. Looking down from the plane, we can see the Dutch coast. Shore – stretch of land bordering on the sea or a large body of water. Seashore – land bordering on the sea Ex. Sandy shore Beach – the pebble or sandy shore washed by the see or a lake; a place of rest for swimmers and sunbathers. Ex. We can go to the beach. 4.Each – (of two or more) every one (thing, group, person etc) taken separately or individually Ex. He had words of encouragement for each of us. Every – all or each of a whole; each one or an indefinite number Ex. Every boy in the class passed the examination. He enjoyed every minute of his holiday. |
5. Hero/Heroine – a person remembered for bravery, strength, or goodness, esp. When admired for an act of courage under difficult conditions
Ex. He fought like a hero.
Character – a person in a novel, play, or film
Ex. I find all the characters
of the play amusing and interesting.

1. Paraphrase the following sentences using the word “time”.
