Speaking about the role of sport in people’s life I can say that I’m not a great sport fan. Of course, I can’t but agree that sport builds character, helps to become strong and healthy and work out extra energy. Besides sport teacher you about life: it teaches you to win and lose. As they say: “A healthy mind in a healthy body”. Sport is popular among teenagers today. Many of them are fond of martial arts, football, boxing, cycling, field and track athletics. Some attend swimming pools and tennis courts.  

On the other hand sport may be dangerous, especially if it is a professional sport. It may cause serious injuries. For example, figure skating and gymnastics are rather dangerous. More than that sport can make you unhappy if you lose and you have no friends, only rivals. Sport takes too much time if you train seriously.

I don’t go in for any kinds of sport, but try to keep fit. I think you can keep fit by jogging in the morning and attending PE lessons. At our school we have a football club and a basketball club. This year our basketball team has won the third prize in the town competitions.

Speaking about the role of books in our life I would like to cite Francis Bacon who said: “Reading makes a bull man”. I’m sorry to say but reading is not popular among teenagers. They prefer reading different magazines, yellow press. We seem to forget that books can tell us a lot about famous people, latest discovers and the rest of world. Also books help to discover new things, educate, expand outlook, escape from everyday life problems. I thing reading is the perfect way problems.  I think reading is the perfect way to spend free time and not to feel bored. Of course it is easier to watch TV or video.

Funny it may sound but many teenagers don’t like reading because it makes then think hard and takes too much time. As for my reading preferences I like detective stories, especially by A. Conan Doyl. One of my favorite is “The Mystery of the Boscomle Valley”. The main character are, of course, Sherlock Holmes’s and Doctor Watson. This time they investigate the case in which the son is suspected to be the murderer of his own father. But  thanks to Holmes’s deductive method the real murderer is found. I think it is a life star book. It is full of interesting story lines and has an unusual ending. I would recommend anyone to read it.

Speaking about my plans for the future  I can say that my nearest aim is to enter название University. I have always wanted to become a economic., because I find this job very interesting, socially important and prestigious. It is not an easy matter to choose your future profession. I have read a lot of information on different professions, discussed this problem with my friends and relatives, looked for some information on the Internet. I think that at last I have made up my mind.

To enter the University I have to take my exams. I hope I’ll pass them successfully because I work really hard. My exams will be in math, Russian language. The most difficult  one is Russian language, because I have to learn a lot by heart.

On the other hand I’m looking forward to my future student life with its joys and worries. I hope I’ll overcome all the difficulties because my parents support me in every possible way. I thing my all dreams will come true.

Speaking about my favorite books I’d like to say that I’m not a reading fan. But sometimes it’s nice to spend an hour or two with a good  book. I prefer books that have unusual story lines, tell about supernatural things and events. Still my favorite ones are detective stories, especially by such famous writers as Agatha Chriistie, Artur Conan Doyl, Sevastien Zhapriso. I think detectives by such writers as D. Dontsova, P. Dashkova, Y. Polyakova leave much to be desired as far as their plot or style are concerned. Of course there are talented detective writers in our country  as well, for example Boris Akunin. He calls his genre a historical detective. The main characters of his books are Erast Fandorin and mother Prasv’ya. Three of his books, “Azazel” and “Rhe Tirkish gambit”, “The councillor of States” , were filmed and they starred our best actors.

I do love action films. Why? They are dynamic and really exciting, They grab your attention from the first scene. I like films with a mysterious plot. They keep me in suspense. I can’t understand people who don’t like action films. They are so various that can suit different tastes. Some people think that action films teach only to fight and to kill. I don’t agree with such opinions. They teach people to defend justice and to be strong and brave. I think it is nor bad want to look the heroes of action films.

The last film I san and enjoyed very much was “We are from the future”. I don’t remember the name of the director but it starred Alexei Chadov, Yaglich and other famous Russian actors. The plot is set in our days and in 1942.

Three young man were black diggers and one of  them was a skinhead. They searched of for medalist, was helmets, and  other war things and sold them. But once they found themselves in 1942 at war.

They had to overcome a lot of hardships and in the end they  changed their outlook.

I would recommend anyone, especially, teenagers, to see the film, because it teaches you to be patriotic and appreciate your life.

Speaking about British and American holidays, I can  say the most popular ones are Christmas, Easter, St. Valentine’s Day. But I’d like to tell you about Thanksgiving day.

In the Thanksgiving day stared as a holiday of thanksgiving in the early days of the American colonies about four hundred years ago.

In 1620, a boat with more than one hundred people sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to the New World  to what is now the state of Massachusetts.

Their first winter was very difficult  and without fresh food, half  the colony died.

The Native Americans showed them how to grow corn, a new food for the colonists, they showed them how to hunt and fish. In the autumn of 1621, bountiful crops of, beans and pumpkins were picked up. The colonists had much to be local Indians to a Thanksgiving dinner.

In the following years, many of the original colonists celebrated the autumn crops with a holiday of thanks. After the United Stated became an independent country, Congress introduced one day of  thanksgiving for the whole nation to celebrate. It’s observes on the fourth Thursday of November.

Speaking about choosing a career I can say that it is not an easy matter. There are a lot of different jobs and it is very important to find “your cup of tea”. I think that first of all one must choose his career to his liking. Besides I’m sure that a future job must be well paid, prestigious, and socially important. The most popular jobs among teenagers are an economist, a lawyer, a tourist guide, a manager and a builder. While choosing your future job I think you should talk to parents and listen to their advice. Also you should discuss this problem with your friends.

As for  my future career I’d like to become a

Speaking about my favorite TV programmes  I’d like to say  that I don’t like to say that I don’t have much free time to spend it on  watching TV. There are a lot of TV channels that offer a variety of programmes  such as children’s programmes, reality shows, chat shows, news, sports programmes, soap operas, detective series and many other. There are special channels devoted to fashion, news, sports and children’s programmes, and wild life.

My favourite TV  programmes is Taxi. It is a quiz show. It is rather clever and informative.  The taxi runs about the city and rages people a chance to win some money if they are smart enough to answer questions. It is shown laily  ow TNT chenell at 7 pm. I advise you watch it.
