Kazakhstan.

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a sovereign state in the centre of the Eurasian continent. The official language is Kazakh. The national currency is tenge. The Russia language is officially used on equal grounds along with Kazakh.

The population of Kazakhstan is about 15.0 mln.: 57% urban, 43% rural. The most numerous nations are Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, German, Tatar, Uigur.

The territory of the country stretches 1,6 km from north to south and 2,8 km from west to east. The total area is 2.7 mln square km. Kazakhstan borders on Russia to the north, China to the east, Kyrgistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to the south, and the Caspian Sea to the west. The landscape of Kazakhstan is diverse. There

are vast lowlands and highest mountains covered with everlasting snows and glaciers ( the Tyan-Shan, the Alatau, the Altay). Steppes, deserts and semi-deserts predominate on the largest part of Kazakhstan.

There are a lot of full rivers in the Republic. The main rivers are the Irtish, the Ural, the Ishim, the Sirdarya, the Tobol. There are 48000 large and small lakes. The largest of them are Balkhash, Zaysan, Alokol, Tengiz.

There are some natural reservations: Barsakelmes, Aksu-Dzhabagly, Almatinsky etc., Bayanaul national natural park.

On the territory of the Republic there are 155 species of mammals, 480 species of birds, 150 of fish, 250 of plants.

Население Казахстана - приблизительно 15.0 млн.: Городских 57%, сельские 43%. Самые многочисленные страны казахские, российские, украинские, узбекские, немецкие, татарские, уйгурские.

Территория страны простирается в 1,6 км от севера на юг и в 2,8 км от запада на восток.  Общая площадь составляет 2.7 млн квадратных километров.  Казахстан  граничит с Россией на север, Китаем на восток, Kyrgistan, Узбекистан и Туркмению на юг и Каспийское море на запад.  Пейзаж Казахстана разнообразен.  Там

обширная  низменность и самые высокие  горы, крытые постоянными снегами  и ледниками (Tyan-Shan, Alatau, Алтай). Степи, пустыни и полупустыни преобладают  на самой большой части Казахстана.

Есть много всех рек в республике. Главные реки - Иртыш, Урал, Ишим, Sirdarya, Тобол. Есть 48000 больших и небольших озер. Самыми большими из них является Балхаш, Zaysan, Alokol, Тенгиз.

Есть некоторое  естественное резервирование: Barsakelmes, Аксу-Dzhabagly, Almatinsky и т.д., Bayanaul национальный природный парк.
